Read our series on how Ericsson cooperates with universities around the world, focusing on application development. The purpose of these collaborations is to give university students the opportunity to learn new technology straight from the source, to get hands-on experience and to hear about trends in the communications industry.

China
To show the value of IMS, Ericsson China has just initiated cooperation with Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

US
Ericsson US has just begun cooperating with the University of Texas at Dallas, US, on a program focusing on healthcare applications.

Spain
Ericsson Spain is cooperating with the Polytechnic University of Madrid to develop IMS-based services to be deployed by operator Telefónica.

Brazil
Universities engaged to expand IMS ecosystem in Brazil.

Croatia
Ericsson Croatia has, since 2000, in collaboration with the University of Zagreb, trained senior telecommunication students at popular summer camps.

Switzerland
Ericsson Switzerland has begun cooperation with the EIA-FR university campus in Fribourg, focusing on IMS.

Turkey
In a program called Crea Academy, Ericsson Turkey has offered 40 university students the chance to implement IMS-based services.
 
Argentina
Ericsson will start IMS training at the National University of La Plata, near Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October.

Sweden
Reaching out to students with innovative ideas, Ericsson, TeliaSonera and HiQ have sponsored an IMS application contest, at Stockholm Royal Institute of Technology.
